Brief

Bulugh Al-Maraam is the shortened title of the collection of hadeeth by renowned Muslim scholar Ibn Hajar al-Asqalanee entitled, Bulugh al-Maraam Min Adillat Al-Ahkaam ( Attainment of the Objective according to Evidence of  Ordinances). Traditions mentioned in the book are generally from Saheeh Al-Bukhaaree, Saheeh Muslim, Sunan Abu Daawood, Jaami' At-Tirmidhee, Sunan An-Nasaa'ee, Sunan Ibn Maajah, Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal and other books of hadeeth. Bulugh Al-Maraam holds a unique distinction in that all the traditions compiled in the book have been the sources of fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence) rulings. Topics that this book covers range from marriage, business transactions to other more implicit aspect of the religion such as the five pillars. One more distinctive feature, along with others, is that the versions have also been shortened to present just the main purpose of thehadeeth according to its classification under the chapter. Because of these preferential qualities, Buloogh Al-Maraam  has been widely accepted and is among the most sought-after books of hadeeth.
